When lightning strikes twice: Nova Scotia man wins second Lotto 6/49 jackpot

“Lightning never strikes the same place twice” is a phrase you are probably familiar with. It is commonly used to demonstrate that truly unlikely things generally only occur once, such as winning a lottery jackpot.
However, for Raymond Lillington, lightning did strike twice – and it struck even harder the second time.

What we’re missing about festival season this year

It’s been an unusual summer, to say the least.
Between going through a border stop when travelling within the Atlantic bubble and wearing a mask to the grocery store, this year has been like no other. While we all have our summer routines and traditions, many of those have unfortunately been impacted this year.

Atlantic Lottery employees rally for Day of Caring

Atlantic Lottery employees have participated in United Way’s Day of Caring for many years. Numerous employees participate year after year to lend a helping hand at various not-for-profit organizations in the Greater Moncton Area and the latest edition was no exception.
Held annually in June, United Way was unsure for some time if the 2020 event would be able to proceed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions.

Embracing the new virtual reality

Whether it was for keeping in touch with the grandkids or holding team meetings while working from home, video calls suddenly became a big part of many of our lives when the COVID-19 pandemic arrived in Atlantic Canada.
That was just as true for us at Atlantic Lottery as it was for everyone else.
