Community Proud contest provides $60,000 in donations to local charitable groups

There’s no doubt 2020 has brought many challenges none of us ever expected. But with it also came many opportunities to rethink the norm and as a result, many creative solutions.
Atlantic Lottery’s sponsorship team encountered one such opportunity when faced with the reality of nearly all festivals and events across Atlantic Canada being cancelled this year.

What we’re missing about festival season this year

It’s been an unusual summer, to say the least.
Between going through a border stop when travelling within the Atlantic bubble and wearing a mask to the grocery store, this year has been like no other. While we all have our summer routines and traditions, many of those have unfortunately been impacted this year.

Playing to make a difference

Beginning this week, you might start seeing a new campaign from Atlantic Lottery on your TV and social media feeds. However, it won’t be promoting upcoming jackpots or featuring a winner’s giant cheque, it will be putting the spotlight on you.
“The Difference You Make” series of videos focuses on the little things Atlantic Canadians do every day that make a big difference to other people around them.

Building Communities – Why does Atlantic Lottery partner with United Way?

Atlantic Lottery isn’t just a corporation, it’s made up of people who are proud to contribute to the communities we all call home, whether it’s at work or through their own activities.
In the third of our Building Communities series, product solutions specialist Sam Burke talks about why United Way is Atlantic Lottery’s charity of choice and the core values shared by the people at our two organizations.
