New Lotto 6/49 celebrates six millionaires in six months
Atlantic Lottery has been busy celebrating six new millionaires who all won big on the Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball draw.
A longtime player favourite, Lotto 6/49 saw some significant changes in September 2022 and started offering two major jackpots on every $3 play.
The classic jackpot is always set at $5 million and the Gold Ball jackpot starts at $10 million and can grow past $60 million. The Gold Ball draw guarantees a winning ticket on every draw, with the winner either taking home $1 million if a white ball is drawn or the growing Gold Ball jackpot when the gold ball is drawn.
Now, just months after these changes went into place, we have celebrated six $1-million wins all over Atlantic Canada!
John and Norma Jean Griffin – Elmsdale, P.E.I.
Clarence Gallant – Shediac, N.B.
Bruce Rupert and Shelly Brewer – Lower Norton, N.B.
Chad Lunn – New Waterford, N.S.
John Robinson – Grand Falls-Windsor, N.L.
Lotto Buddies – Mount Pearl, N.L.
Each of these winners took home their $1-million prize because a white ball was drawn on the date they won. White balls continue to be removed each week they are drawn and $2 million is added to the Gold Ball Jackpot every draw until the gold ball is drawn.
The next Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball jackpot is worth a whopping $52 million – that’s the biggest Gold Ball jackpot yet since the game relaunched just last year.
We can’t wait to celebrate our next Lotto 6/49 winner. Will they take home the classic jackpot worth $5 million, the guaranteed Gold Ball draw prize of $1 million or the growing Gold Ball jackpot? The possibilities are endless with Lotto 6/49.
