Giving back this holiday season with United Way

Atlantic Lottery exists to help support local communities and help build a stronger region. While the work we do each and every day is with this purpose in mind, we know that there is always a need for more support in our communities, especially during the holidays.

In this spirit, Atlantic Lottery was proud to donate $10,000 to United Ways in Atlantic Canada this holiday season. The funds have been evenly distributed across all four Atlantic provinces, to help address the needs in local communities all across our region.

In addition to this monetary donation, Atlantic Lottery employees were eager to pitch in and added a great deal of hands-on support by donating their time to various United Way initiatives:

  • Atlantic Lottery employees in New Brunswick worked a number of shifts in the kitchen at the United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick to support their Seniors’ Meal Program that delivers nutritious home-cooked meals to low-income seniors.
  • In Newfoundland and Labrador, employees worked with the local United Way to assist the Single Parent Association of Newfoundland and Labrador, one of their funded agencies, with their annual Christmas Magic Program, which provides many single parent families with food and gifts during the holidays.
  • Our employees in Nova Scotia and in Prince Edward Island at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino worked with United Way Maritimes to prepare and deliver holiday cards for vulnerable and lonely seniors to help spread some cheer throughout their local communities.

With Atlantic Canadians at the heart of all we do, Atlantic Lottery is proud to be a long-time community partner of United Ways across our region, and to support these organizations again this holiday season.

We are grateful to the United Ways across our four provinces for the meaningful work they do to improve the lives of Atlantic Canadians and for welcoming our employees, who always seize the opportunity to give back and help to make this region a better place.
