Did you know that you can now check your Atlantic Lottery retail tickets with a simple scan of your mobile devices? It’s part of the newest feature offered through the updated Atlantic Lottery Mobile App.

“People told us they wanted the convenience of a mobile ticket checker,” said Joey Cormier, Atlantic Lottery’s Director of Marketing for iLottery. “This latest evolution of the Atlantic Lottery Mobile App responds with an innovative, user-friendly approach to give players what they want, where they want.”

Players use the camera on their mobile phone or tablet to scan the product bar code. A message will appear on their screen indicating when they have a winning lottery, Scratch’N Win or PRO•LINE ticket.

“The ticket checker brings our players a level of experience that they really expect of us in today’s mobile world,” said Jennah Burton, who is part of the team that helped launch the product. “We’ve gotten really good feedback already about the tool. Players are telling us it’s a game changer for them.”

This is the latest innovation to the Atlantic Lottery Mobile App developed in response to player feedback. Last year, Atlantic Lottery added a feature that creates a QR code using the player’s mobile PRO•LINE picks which can be scanned at the store. Players say it has streamlined and enhanced the entire process.

So what’s next?

“We are continually reviewing and renewing products to enhance our players’ experience,” says Cormier. “Stay tuned for news about more features using this scanning functionality.”

The new ticket checker feature is available by downloading the Atlantic Lottery Mobile App through the App Store (iOS devices) or at alc.ca/app (Android devices). The simple instructions are on alc.ca and players can use the mobile checker without logging in.

Players still have the option of using the self-serve ticket checkers in retail stores.
