Group of N.B. gal pals shares $100K Lotto Max prize
Seven friends from Fredericton Junction, N.B. are sharing a $100,000 MAXPLUS prize following the June 26, 2026 Lotto Max draw.
The Tri-County Money Honeys group includes Julia Nason, Vickie Aubin, Raelene Thomas, Linzi Lanteigne, Dawn Wright, Geriann Mersereau and Bobbi Hartt.
Lotto Max draws take place every Tuesday and Friday. As of April 2026, Lotto Max gives players more, with jackpots that can now grow up to $90 million and $100,000 MAXPLUS prizes available for every draw. Just like before, $1-million MAXMILLIONS prizes are also offered when the jackpot reaches or exceeds $50 million.
Nason said she was a bridesmaid in a wedding, waiting for the ceremony to begin when she checked the Atlantic Lottery mobile app and realized the group had won $100,000.
She immediately ran to tell Wright, who was styling the hair of other bridesmaids in the wedding party.
“It was very awesome, but I was so focused on what I was doing that I didn’t let it set in,” Wright said. “She was vibrating, trying to show me the ticket on her phone but I really never processed it until later.”
Nason was elated to then call the remaining group members to share the big news.
“It was the best wake-up call ever,” Mersereau said. “I jumped out of bed and was screaming for my daughter, who came running up with her boyfriend because they thought for sure there was a big spider he was going to need to kill.”
The friends plan to use a portion of their prize money to take a trip somewhere warm together this coming winter.
“It will be a great girls’ trip and a great celebration,” Nason said.
Nason purchased the Tri-County Money Honeys’ winning Lotto Max ticket on alc.ca.
