Carol Ann Gallant from Christopher Cross P.E.I. is $250,000 richer after her recent spin of the MEGA 360 wheel at Atlantic Lottery’s head office in Moncton, N.B.

“I had got a ticket at Eugene’s General Store and then later stopped at the garage because I knew I had won a spin,” Gallant said. “I’m not going to tell you what I said when the spin stopped and he told me, ‘You’re going to Moncton!’”

MEGA 360 is the first Scratch, Watch and Spin game offered by Atlantic Lottery. The game can be played as either a Scratch’N Win ticket at retail or as an Instant Win game at alc.ca. Players first scratch their ticket or click through their digital game, and those who unlock the “spin” feature in their game get to watch an animated wheel spin to reveal their prize – this happens during in-store validation for Scratch’N Win tickets or online for Instant Win games. If a spin lands on “MEGA 360”, the player wins the opportunity to spin the MEGA 360 wheel at Atlantic Lottery’s head office in Moncton, N.B.

“I went straight home and told my husband,” Gallant said. “I can’t tell you how I felt, I just yelled.”

Even before spinning the big wheel and determining her prize amount, Gallant knew she would be sharing whatever she won with her family.

“I told one of my daughters and she didn’t really believe me until I showed her,” Gallant said. “Then I showed my other daughter and she was twice as excited as I was.”

Prizes on the MEGA 360 wheel range from $100,000 to $500,000, guaranteeing anyone who spins the wheel walks away with at least a $100,000 prize. Gallant’s wheel spin resulted in her prize of $250,000.

Plans for her prize money include paying off her car, completing some home renovations, sharing with her three daughters and her grandchildren. She is also planning a family dinner to celebrate over boiled dinner.

Gallant has recently been off work due to health issues but said this prize money has given her peace of mind.

“This is helping me in every way I can think possible, knowing I have money there to help me if I need it,” Gallant said. “I don’t have to worry about too much now, just keep going one day at a time.”

Gallant purchased her winning MEGA 360 ticket at Eugene’s General Store in Tignish, P.E.I. The retailer will receive a one per cent seller’s prize.
