David Warren is Atlantic Lottery’s latest MEGA 360 winner, taking home a $250,000 prize after spinning the big wheel at Atlantic Lottery’s head office.

While Warren was the first big winner on the new yellow series of MEGA 360 Scratch’N Win tickets, he and his wife, Makiko, were no strangers to the prize claim process.

Warren purchased an Extreme Millions Scratch ‘N Win ticket for his wife at Christmas in 2016, on which she won the top prize of $1 million.

“It’s surreal,” Warren said. “It’s absolutely unbelievable to be back here a second time.”

MEGA 360 is the first Scratch, Watch and Spin game offered by Atlantic Lottery. The game can be played as either a Scratch’N Win ticket at retail or as an Instant Win game at alc.ca. Players first scratch their ticket or click through their digital game, and those who unlock the “spin” feature in their game get to watch an animated wheel spin to reveal their prize – this happens during in-store validation for Scratch’N Win tickets or online for Instant Win games. If a spin lands on “MEGA 360”, the player wins the opportunity to spin the MEGA 360 wheel at Atlantic Lottery’s head office in Moncton, N.B.

While Warren was eager to spin the big wheel to reveal his prize, it would have to wait as he and his wife already had plans to fly to Toronto in a matter of days to care for their four grandchildren while their parents took a vacation.

After two weeks of wondering, Warren finally got to spin the MEGA 360 wheel on Mar. 21, leading to his $250,000 win.

“It’s incredible, just incredible,” Warren said. “I’m glad it’s finally over and I know but it really was a great experience.”

Warren and his wife shared the prize money from their first big win in 2016 with their children. The couple now plans to use their MEGA 360 prize money to upgrade to a new vehicle and to ensure a more comfortable retirement.

The couple is also looking forward to celebrating the win with their children and said their existing plans to celebrate Warren’s 70^th birthday this summer will now be even more special.

Warren is the third Islander to spin the MEGA 360 wheel since the game launched in October 2023. He joins Sandra Palmer of Summerside, P.E.I. who won $225,000 on the MEGA 360 wheel in March and Shelby Worth, also of Summerside, P.E.I. who took home $400,000 following her spin of the big wheel in January.

Atlantic Lottery launched the 3323 series of the MEGA 360 Scratch’N Win game on March 5, 2024. The ticket features a bright yellow background and has four top prizes still available to be won.
